Recollections on Recollections
Viktor Frankl was a great man. He survived the holocaust and spent the rest of his days giving his time and positive ideas (height psychology) to others and the world. His work lives on through many books, videos, institutions in his name and his family who carries on sharing his Logotherapy with fidelity.
I search for ways to share great content to a younger audience. After reading Frankl’s autobiography titled: Recollections, I have “recoded” some of his teachings into a unit inspired by the man himself. This unit is for grades 3 to 12 and has four separate content areas. The areas are: responsible self, mindful self, hard times (triumph to tragedy) and self building. You will also find these areas in the book I co-wrote titled: Kids’ Search For Meaning. The lessons are inspired by both books.
The unit includes 6 mini posters, 4 lesson essays, 4 reflection worksheets, tutorials in painting, poster design and centering. Thank you mini poster re: confirmation bias. In total, 21 pages on Teachers Pay Teachers!
